Nikolai buried his face into (Name)'s pillow. He missed her warmth, her scent and, above all, her. He sigh, bringing the pillow closer to his body and inhaling. Her scent was still there making him crack a small smile.
'She's been away for a week now..' He thought closing his eyes. "(Name).. When are you coming home?" said female has been away on a business trip. Nikolai protested at first but gave in after the (h/c) gave him the pleading look, in other words, puppy dog eyes. He sigh again, feeling stupid for letting her go. He knew he would miss and yet, he still let her go. A knock interupted his sulking. Lifting his head from the pillow her glared at the door, only to have his eyes widen in shock.
"I'm home," (Name) stood at the door, a soft smile upon her lips. She looked exhausted but happy to be back. Nikolai bolted up from the bed and enveloped her in a hug, not too hard to block her airways but a gentle hug. (Name) hugged back, her hands grabbing at his shirt.
"I missed you," Nikolai murmured into her hair.
"I'm sorry.. I missed you too," giving him a kiss on the cheek, she smiled, tears brimming in her eyes.
"Don't cry," Nikolai wiped her tears away, frowning to himself. He never liked it when she cried.
"and don't apologize.. It's not your fault," he embraced her again, stroking her (h/c) hair. Nikolai picked her up bridal style and laid her on the bed. Covering both of them with the blanket, Nikolai wrapped his arms around the (e/c) eyed female. The (h/c) snuggled up to him and smiled, drifting off to sleep.
