Male!Hungary x Reader

"umm.. You sure you want to be playing that?" Your best male friend, Daniel, asked. He was staring at the back of your head worriedly while sitting criss cross on your bed. He knew you get scared easily but, like his friend Alfred, you loved to watch horror movies and playing video games. You were playing 'Left 4 Dead 2' and lets face it, you weren't going to bed anytime soon. Your (h/c) was tied up in a ponytail (A/N: if you have long hair anyways XD) and your (e/c) coloured eyes were glued to the screen of your laptop. You were wearing headphones so you didn't hear him.

"Oi, _______? Earth to _____!" Daniel waved his hand in front of your face.

"Ah! Daniel!" you swatted his hand away and paused the game. Taking of your headphone, you glared at him weakly. "What?" you asked, the word reflecting annoyance.

"You know you shouldn't be playing that, riiiiiight?" he asked, dragging the 'i'. You stared at him blankly. He sighed and pointed to the clock. "It's 11 p.m," he said, answering the silent question.

Daniel was here because you invited him over to accompany you. Your parents went to another one of their business trips and they agreed to let Daniel stay at least until they get back. Reason? Simple. You guys have been best friends since forever. Daniel's parents didn't mind either because they were on the same trip as your parents.

"Go to bed already," Daniel whined. Only then did you notice he moved to your table. You crossed your arms and pouted, a light blush on your cheeks.

"but I don't wannaaaaa," you whined back, dragging the 'a'. Daniel looked helpless for a second then his lips suddenly turned to a smirk. He turned around and shrugged.

"okay~ Whatever you say _____. I'm going to bed now~" he sang and took slow steps to the door. You bit you lip and turned away.

"Fine! See if I care!" and there goes Daniel. He was already out of the room when you looked back. You pouted but shook your head and continued playing. Your room was dark, the laptop being the only source of light. You felt a chill run down your spine as you played.

'Did it just got colder?' you thought. The window made a tapping noise that made you jump. 'okay. calm down _____. It's probably just the wind,' you tried to focus back on the game. Opening the door to a certain room, your idiot of a team mate shot the crying zombie, also known as 'Witch'. It gave a loud screech and attacked you. You paused the game then and there. Your heart was beating rather fast and it hasn't even been five minutes since Daniel left.

You closed the game and turned off your laptop, leaving the room completely dark. Turning on the table lamp quickly, you scanned your room. You were getting paranoid. Cursing your over imaginative mind, you crawled to bed. You practically lept up your bed when your knee touched something. You glared at the object, finding it to be one of your books. With a sigh, you crawled underneath the covers and closed your eyes, hoping to get a good dream.

Daniel's POV

I stared at the ceiling. I've been here so many times that ______'s parents made this my room. I sigh. I found out that today, my friends likes _____ too. I can't blame them really. What with her (h/c) hair and (e/c) coloured eyes, who wouldn't fall for her. She's just.... Charming in her own way. I'm lucky I'm even her friend.

'Yeah right! I know you want her to be your girlfriend~' the voice in my mind sang.

'Shut up you!' I sigh and looked at the clock. It's only been 15 minutes since I left her and yet I feel so empty. There was a knock on my door and I sat up.

"Come in," The door creaked open to reveal...

"AH!" I fell off the bed from shock. ______ had the flashlight under her face and let's face it, it's scary.

"Daniel!" Rushed footsteps and the next thing I saw was _______ leaning over me. "Are you okay?" she asked, worry evident in her voice.

"y-yeah.. I'm fine," I rub the back of my head, trying to fight a blush from forming on my cheeks. "W-why are you here anyway?" I ask, trying to stop her from asking anything. I'm sure there was a light blush on my cheeks. She looked down and her shoulders were shaking.

"C....Can I... sleep with you?" she asked, looking up at me shyly. I stared at her then grinned.

"I told you, you shouldn't have played that!" I laughed and she pouted.

"It's not funny you idiot!" she hit my arms, but it didn't even hurt. She lost her balanced and fell, luckily I caught her.

"Okay okay.. Let's get you to bed," I smiled and picked her up bridal style. Laying her down on the bed gently, I crawled in beside her. She was hesitant but eventually she hugged me, burying her head in my chest.

"....______" I bit my lip. Is it really worth it?

"hm?" she looked up at me with tired (e/c) eyes. Well.. here goes.. I guess.

"I..."

"Is something wrong?"

"I love you.." I whispered and closed my eyes. She was silent and every hope that she returned my love was slowly fading away. I pushed her away lightly. I gasp when she pulled me in closer, her hands turned to fist on my back, crumpling my shirt under her hand.

"I love you too... You idiot.." I lifted her chin up to see her smiling brightly, tears forming in her eyes. I smiled softly, wiping her tears and kissing her forehead.

"let's go to sleep now.. okay?" She smiled and nodded. She buried her face in my chest again and I smiled, stroking her hair. Not long after, both of us fell asleep.
